5th Cell CEO Says Wii U ‘Definitely More Powerful’ Than 360, PS3
Posted on July 13, 2012 AT 12:44pm
Jeremiah Slaczka, CEO of Scribblenauts Unlimited developer 5th Cell, has claimed that the Wii U is unequivocally more powerful than the current generation of console hardware.
“[The Wii U is] definitely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3,” Slaczka said in the latest issue of Game Informer. ”It’s kind of frustrating to see the rumours and speculation of people going back and forth saying it’s weaker or more powerful. It’s definitely more powerful.”
Slaczka’s comments are in direct opposition to what we’ve heard from some other developers, most recently Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada.
At this point, we’ve gotten so many conflicting reports about the Wii U’s hardware capabilities that I can only assume the console exists in a state of quantum superposition, at once both more and less powerful than the current generation of hardware. Don’t be surprised if you open up the box on launch day and find a dead cat inside.
