The latest episode of Crytek’s web series “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3” shows new weapon the “Typhoon” in action.

As described by the video, the Typhoon unloads 500 bullets a second, leaving behind a mist of blood and metal where Ceph once stood. It is one nasty piece of hardware, to say the least, and may just trump the X-43 MIKE from Crysis 2.

The video also reveals new Ceph variants. At least, the first I’ve seen of them. Just love their design. Crysis 3 is quickly shaping up to be one of my most anticipated games of 2013, nestled right behind BioShock Infinite. My only concern is whether the new writer will execute Crysis 3’s narrative with as much finesse as Richard K. Morgan did in Crysis 2.

Crysis 3 comes out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 February 19 in North America and February 22 in Europe.
