It’s been a long time coming, but a fix is finally coming for a white screen bug that has plagued the PC version of NieR: Automata since launch.

The game has suffered from a number of bugs on PC, but a major issue for AMD graphics card users prevented them from launching the game at all. Luckily, an upcoming driver update should fix this issue.

“As the title suggests, we’ve got a driver update coming very soon with (finally) a fix for the game, and a few other notable items too,” a Radeon specialist wrote on Reddit. “I know I will be asked “why did it take so long” and the short answer is sometimes when an issue seems like it’s so simple can turn out to be incredibly complicated to resolve, taking longer than expected time to discover, resolve, and verify the root cause.

“Please keep in mind that we do read this subreddit, other related subreddits and forums, and even if we don’t directly engage, we are listening.”#

NieR: Automata is available now on PC and PlayStation 4.
