EA has announced that FIFA 14 will be removed from the EA Access Vault later this year.
The publisher recently announced plans to shut the servers down for FIFA 14 on October 18th and as a result the game will be removed from the EA Access Vault on the same day.
“Members can continue to download and enjoy FIFA 14 until then, and those who keep the game on their console hard drive will be able to play it offline after that date,” the publisher said. “Once it’s removed from a console, it cannot be downloaded again after October 18.
“We’re sad to see any title leave the collection, and rest assured that we’ll do our best to limit removals in the future. For now, we hope you’ll enjoy the other great games in our service – like all the latest FIFA titles – and we look forward to seeing you on the pitch.”
An EA/Origin Access subscription grants access to a number of full EA games via the Vault, including Star Wars Battlefront, the Mass Effect trilogy, FIFA 17, Unravel, The Sims 4, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and more. As well as access to games, subscribers also get early access to a number of upcoming EA games and 10 percent off digital EA games and DLC.
EA recently added Titanfall 2 to the EA Access and Origin Access Vaults.
