Overkill Software’s four-person co-op heister Payday 2 has itself one heck of an atmospheric tracking shot launch trailer.

Payday 2 is an intense and dynamic first-person four player co-operative robbery game unlike any other,” game director David Goldfarb wrote in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “It’s equal parts RPG and action game now, allowing players to rob banks, jewelry stores, art galleries, and a hell of a lot more.”

In an interview with OXM, Goldfarb stated there’s “like a year of DLC planned,” and that he intends to incorporate a female robber into Payday through DLC.

“Because I want, like I said, I want my daughters to be able to [play as a female character],” Goldfarb told OXM. “I’d need to wait a bit for that—but in theory, it’d be cool for them to mask up. I just think it’d be cool if we had both, that’s all.”

Payday 2 is out now on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. For more on the multiplayer love song to Heat and other crime films, check out my review.
