EA’s co-op prison break adventure A Way Out has gone gold, Hazelight Studios founder Josef Fares has announced.
For those who are unaware, a game going “gold” means that development is complete and the game is ready to be sent to manufacturing. It also means that there’s very little chance of the game not making its March release date.
#awayout has gone golden. I can’t even describe my excitement. Get ready on March 23.

The game is a co-op adventure that puts players in the role of one of two prisoners who form an uneasy alliance as they attempt to make a daring escape from prison.
“What begins as a thrilling breakout quickly turns into an unpredictable, emotional adventure unlike anything seen or played before,” the game’s description reads. “A Way Out is an experience that must be played with two players. Each player controls one of the main characters, Leo and Vincent, in a reluctant alliance to break out of prison and gain their freedom.”
A Way Out is scheduled to launch March 23rd, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
