Need for Speed

The first trailer for Touchstone and DreamWorks’ Need for Speed film adaptation is now online, full of Aaron Paul channeling righteous Christian-god-like fury.

Directed by Scott Waugh, whose only work is 2012’s Act of Valor (though he did win the 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Directors to Watch award), Need for Speed stars Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, and Michael Keaton.

The trailer, embedded below, is all kinds of overly serious. In the trailer, protagonist Tobey marshall (Aaron Paul) quotes lines from Isaiah against shots that seem inspired wholesale by Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive.

Need for Speed hits theaters March 14, 2014. Buckle up, mother @#$%ers.
