Sony Computer Entertainment president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that an upcoming PlayStation 4 update will allow users to dim the DualShock 4 controller’s lightbar.

Originally GameTrailers’ Geoff Keighley reported that the update would allow users to turn the lightbar off completely, but Yoshida later corrected him saying that their would only be an option to dim it.

Since the console was released players have been requesting the ability to turn off the lightbar as many users complain that it reflects off the surface of their televisions and is distracting—I’ve never personally had this problem. The ability to dim the bar should help alleviate that issue slightly.

Earlier this week, Sony announced that an upcoming PS4 update would allow users to record longer gameplay videos, add a new video editor, and more.
