‘About 95 Percent’ of Watch Dogs Missions Can Be Completed Stealthily, Non-Lethally

Posted on October 7, 2013 AT 10:47am

The overwhelming majority of missions in Watch Dogs can completed by employing stealth and non-lethal means, senior director Dominic Guay revealed while speaking to Polygon.

“About 95 percent of missions you can completely stealth through, or flee or chase without having to shoot,” Guay told Polygon. “So it’s really player choice-driven. There are a very few, very limited amount of missions that will force you to kill people.”

According to Guay, Watch Dogs and its digital, open-world incarnation of Chicago were designed to cater to different play styles. The same mission can be approached in various ways, be it stealth or guns blazing. Gameplay in Watch Dogs stretches across stealth, parkour elements, and cover-based third-person shooting.

Watch Dogs launches on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U November 19 in North America, November 22 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will launch alongside the consoles on November 15 (November 29 in Europe) and November 22 respectively.
