Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Recut As Side-Scrolling Retro Game
Posted on June 20, 2012 AT 01:25pm
As ridiculous as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter sounds as a movie, it suddenly seems much less silly when re-imagined as a side-scrolling, zombie hacking, beat-’em-up video game. How about that.
Filmmaking team Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch apparently were thinking the same thing, cutting together a slick gameplay reel of the 16th President of the United States chopping through scores of undead wastrels.
Undoubtedly, the best part comes near the end of Stage 1, with a special attack based on a certain famous speech.
Seriously, though, I still can’t believe the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter film is happening. Even though it’s based on a novel, the entire concept is way too unique for Hollywood. What’s next? A film version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies starring Keira Knightley?
