A new trailer for Devolver Digital and SloClap’s online multiplayer combat RPG Absolver shows off the game’s character customization options.

Upon starting the game, players will be able to customize their character’s origin, sex, hair style, and hair color. Basic outfits will be provided based on the chosen origin, but more equipment can be earned while playing the game and completing challenges.

Each piece of equipment has a weight value, protection stats, and damage stats. Heavier armor will provide players with more protection, but at the cost of mobility. While lighter armor allows players to be more agile, but at the coast of protection. According to the trailer below, there are thousands of equipment combinations for players to choose from.

Absolver puts players in the role of a Prospect who has chosen to join the Absolvers, an elite corps of combatants fighting to maintain stability in the world. On their journey, players will learn new combat styles and attacks, and acquire better weapons, powers and armor.

The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and PC from August 29th, 2017.
