Access to Personal PS4 Digital Library Available on Any PS4 Console

Posted on July 10, 2013 AT 01:40pm

Users will be able to access their PlayStation 4′s digital library on any PS4 console through their PSN account, Official PlayStation Magazine U.K. reports.

The information comes from Neil Brown, a senior engineer int he research and development department at Sony Computer Entertainment, during a talk at the Develop conference today in Brighton.

“You can visit your friend’s house, you can log into your account and play any game from your digital library,” Brown said.

According to Brown, this feature won’t require waiting for an install, either. Whether downloaded digitally or installed from a disc, the first parts of PS4 games will be playable within a few minutes. The system will continue installation in the background during play.

“This makes a digital library a practical option in the real world,” said Brown.
