THE BUZZ: Capcom has announced that a fifth title in the Ace Attorney franchise is in development, and to celebrate its 10 year anniversary the first three games will also get HD remakes.
Gyakuten Saiban 5 was announced over the weekend, but no platforms were specified. The first three titles in the series - Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations – will be getting a HD makeover for release on iOS and Android. Again, no release date was revealed.
Each remake will be priced at 600 Yen ($7.80), or the entire collection will be available for 1200 Yen ($15.60).
EGM’s TAKE: The Ace Attorney series surprisingly took the world by storm. These simple true or false investigation games captured the hearts of many gamers due to their charm, wit and cast of lovable characters. Even though they look simple on the surface, there is always a deep story running beneath the surface of each title. The original hero Phoenix Wright ended up on trial himself after being at the scene of a murder, and due to his expertise made it near impossible to break him. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this announcement and will be waiting for bated breath for the first details.
