An official E3 2017 trailer for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has been released by publisher Bandai Namco (via GameSpot).
“Discover the glory of being an elite fighter pilot. Become an Ace pilot by taking down enemies through tactical dogfighting, while experiencing the exhilaration of flying freely in a fully immersive world,” the game’s description reads.
The game features a new graphics engine, an arsenal of super weapons, formidable enemies, a campaign mode written by Sunao Katabuchi, and online multiplayer battles.
Ace Combat 7 was originally scheduled to launch later this year, but was delayed to give the development team more time to achieve the vision set for the game.
“We would have loved to launch Ace Combat 7 at the end of 2017 as we originally intended, but doing so would compromise our goal for the game,” franchise director Kazutoki Kono said at the time. “We take our art very seriously and that means we have instead chosen to devote additional time and effort to perfect and optimize this newest chapter of the Ace Combat saga. The combination of the Unreal 4 Engine and the power of current generation consoles and PC hardware have literally opened the ‘skies of opportunity’ to us to develop the best Ace Combat experience to-date.”
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is scheduled to release in 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
