Bandai Namco has announced that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 18th, 2019, with a PC release to follow on February 1st, 2019.

The upcoming entry places players in the Penitentiary Unit, a new military force formed entirely of criminals who have been tasked with defending the skies against a terrifying threat.

“The team and I have been working diligently to produce an experience that will add another action-packed chapter to the Ace Combat franchise, but more importantly, be worthy of your time,” brand director Kazutoki Kono said. “Thank you all once again for your patience, support and continued enthusiasm, we’ll see you in the skies soon!”

To accompany the release date announcement, the publisher has shared a new trailer for the game:

Finally, Bandai Namco announced two Ace Combat branded flight sticks that will be supported by Ace Combat 7: the T.Flight Hotas 4 by Thrustmaster for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the Ace Combat 7 Hotas Flight Stick by Hori for PlayStation 4.
