Activision has announced the Web Threads Suit Pack DLC for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available to mighty Marvelites everywhere if they pre-order from GameStop.

The costume pack will feature four classic comic book suits that Spidey can don in the game.

The first is the Spider-Man Noir suit, which is a black-clad, leather vested, alternate Earth Spidey that first appeared, fittingly enough, in Spider-Man Noir #1 (December 2008).

The next is the Captain Universe Spider-Man from when Spider-Man was temporarily the host for the cosmic powered entity back in Spectacular Spider-Man #158 (December 1989).

Then comes the infamous Iron Spider suit from the Civil War story arc. Given to Spider-Man as a gift from Iron Man for revealing his true identity in Amazing Spider-Man #529 (April 2006), the Iron Spider suit enhanced Spidey’s strength, had a variety of lenses similar to those found in Iron Man’s armor, and had extra arms to fight baddies with.

Finally, the least surprising of all the suits in the pack is the black symbiote suit. Before it would leave Spidey to bond with Eddie Brock and become one of his most fearsome foes in Venom, the black symbiote, first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #252 (May 1984), came home with Spidey after his trip into space during the Secret Wars (the issue detailing Spider-Man’s first encounter with the suit during Secret Wars actually wasn’t printed until several months after it debuted).

Whether or not these suits will give Spidey any extra in-game abilities is yet to be seen, but it’s much more likely that they’re just for cosmetic purposes.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the movie tie-in game to the upcoming Sony Pictures blockbuster sequel of the same name and will swing its way onto store shelves on April 29, 2014, for the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, and 3DS.
