THE BUZZ: Activision has stated that there is still no official release date for the promised Android and iOS apps for Call of Duty: Elite.

When asked by NowGamer when the apps would release the publisher replied, “At present there is no confirmed date.”

Elite developer Beachhead confirmed previously that the apps would release sometime this week, but with the rocky start the service has had this has changed.

EGM’s TAKE: The apps are an important part of the service as they socially integrate the service with players. The ability to able to access stats and replays from anywhere is one of the most appealing aspects of the concept.

What do you think of the service so far? Leave a comment below.
