Activision reveals three additional shots for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Posted on May 2, 2014 AT 05:28pm

While Activision had originally planned to make the big unveiling of Call of Duty: Advancd Warfare this Sunday, the internet had other plans. So, the company has been releasing various looks at the next major chapter of the franchise over the course of the day—including these three new screenshots.

These screens give us an additional look at the powerful exoskeletons that’ll be just one of the interesting new features Advanced Warfare will sport. Activision has said that the exoskeletons will “fundamentally change the way gamers play Call of Duty across all modes,” but what exactly that means is still unknown. Could Advanced Warfare end up taking a page from Titanfall‘s book, where players are able to move around in ways character normally cannot?

Also front and center in that top screenshot is an Atlas insignia. The Atlas Corporation is, of course, the PMC (Private Military Corporation) founded and run by Jonathan Irons, the character being played by Kevin Spacey. Now, I’m not saying that I’ll be using the nickname “House of CODs” for Advanced Warfare—I’m just saying that I’ve seen that name floating around the internet today.

One thing is for certain: At this point, I really can’t say for sure how Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is going to play out—or, more importantly, play. I’m certainly curious to find out those answers, though.
