Future cosplayers will have a tough time topping this near perfect costume put together by the actor who played Jill Valentine in the Resident Evil remake.
The photos, as reported by IGN, show actor Julia Voth?who served as the model for Jill in the 2002 Gamecube remake of Resident Evil?”reprising” her role as the zombie slayer, using downtown Los Angeles as the post-apocalyptic backdrop.
Voth?s rendition of the iconic blue S.T.A.R.S. outfit is astounding, right down to the wristwatch and over-sized shoulder pads. The images were also posted to Voth’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, and are accompanied with the hashtag “jillception,” acknowledging the meta nature of the “real” Jill dressing up as the fictional Jill.
“I think people have always felt connected to her, she’s iconic, and there’s a reason that after so many years she and the game live on,” Voth told IGN about the character, adding that the cosplay is often requested by fans.
Voth has also streamed a playthrough of the Resident Evil HD Remaster as Jill on Twitch, earning a completion time of 18 hours and 57 minutes.
