Ubisoft has detailed the punishments that it will be handing out to For Honor players who take advantage of AFK farming repeatedly.
Basically, players are able to go AFK (away from keyboard) and keep their character moving throughout a match, allowing them to avoid getting kicked while gaining rewards and experience, without actually playing the game.
“Because this kind of behavior negatively affects the player experience of others, it has become a top priority for us. As such, we will be sanctioning all the players who have been found to be using AFK Farming repeatedly,” Ubisoft explained in a Reddit post. “Depending on the situation, and the existence of additional sanctions already on a player’s account, we can apply different degrees of sanctions.”
Players will get a warning for their first offense, but repeated violations may result in a suspension (temporary or permanent). However, Ubisoft notes that the action taken will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
“Please understand that no details about the state of our investigation into this matter will be disclosed at any stage,” the company adds. “Rest assured that sanctions will only be applied if there is clear evidence.”
For Honor is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
