For all of us waiting for the next generation of home consoles, all we can do is sit and wonder about what kinds of experiences they’ll provide us. For Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment, they already know how awesome they’ll be.

Talking to the German edition of Gamesindustry International (and translated by Gamespot), Remedy’s head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen said that the team at his company are hard at work on a new project for the next-generation of consoles. Hakkinen noted that, “You always ask yourself: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the old ones? Be assured: They are. It is a quantum leap forward.”

It’s hard not to assume that Remedy might be working on a game for Microsoft’s next Xbox, but it would be crazy not to expect the PlayStation 4 to be on equal footing technology-wise.
