THE BUZZ: Remedy has released a third developer diary for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, which takes a closer look at Mr. Scratch, Alan’s evil alter-ego.

EGM’s TAKE: Alan Wake’s crazy aler-ego was always my favorite in the live action parts of the original game, the actor who played him was superb. He always sucked you in and actually made you believe that Alan may actually be insane. Now he has been manifested into the real world as Mr. Scratch, an urban legend made up about Wake after he disappeared, and it’s up to Alan to finally defeat him once and for all. But will he stop him in time before Scratch gets his hands on Alan’s wife Alice?
