THE BUZZ: According to developer Remedy, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will last between four to five hours.

Oskari Hakkinen, head of franchise development at Remedy, told Gametrailers, “The story mode is, it’s kind of hard to put a time on it, but I’m guessing for the average player, [it’s] something between four and five hours, maybe a little bit more depending how much you explore the optional story content.”

The game will also feature a horde style mode known as Fight ’til Dawn and is set to release as part of Xbox Live’s Hour Party promotion, which begins February 15.

EGM’s TAKE: A five hour campaign is pretty impressive for a downloadable title, especially one with the production values of Alan Wake.
