Nearly six years ago, American McGee’s Grimm released on GameTap. Now, Steam users have a chance to check out this episodic series that, upon inspection more than half a decade later, bears some visual similarities to the alluring Vita papercraft world of Tearaway.
After its 2008 release, Grimm didn’t find the same critical acclaim of Media Molecule’s latest, but it’s one of American McGee’s better received projects outside of his Alice franchise. The series features “retellings” of classic fairy tales closer to the darker, creepier original formats, when they were meant to teach children lessons instead of inspire them to buy Disney merchandise.
The complete pack is available on Steam for $9.99—quite a bargain, considering the game is available on developer Spicy Horse’s website for $20.
