Assassin's Creed

An allegedly leaked Assassin’s Creed Origins achievement list may have teased content that fans can expect from the game’s first expansion, dropping early next year.

Eight new Origins achievements recently appeared on Steam, as what appears to be part of the game’s upcoming The Hidden Ones DLC. The achievement list was swiftly removed, but Steam user R4MBO managed to snag a screenshot.

Most of the achievements are standard gameplay fare, like killing enemies from zip lines or freeing rebels, but the New Recruits and The Greater God achievements confirm that at least some of the challenges are exclusive to an upcoming expansion, assuming they’re legitimate. Considering the content mentioned in the descriptions of the Walls of the Ruler and Surgical Strikes achievements are absent from the main game, we can expect these to be exclusive to the DLC as well. The titles of the Team Play and New Recruits achievements had fans speculating about Assassin Order management mechanics returning from Brotherhood, but that does not appear to be the case.

There is nothing yet confirming that this list is the real deal, but its official look suggests that it is genuine.

While OriginsThe Hidden Ones expansion has yet to be fully revealed, we do know some basic information about the DLC. It will follow Bayek and his new order of assassins through a new, Roman-occupied map area, after the events of the main game. A little more crazy is the following The Curse of the Pharaohs expansion, which will lean toward the paranormal with Bayek fighting undead pharaohs and Egyptian monsters. The Hidden Ones is expected to drop sometime in January 2018, while The Curse of the Pharaohs is slated for release the following March.

Origins‘ fans looking for more immediate content can turn their sights toward the game’s December update, which brings with it a new Trials of the Gods challenge and more.
