THE BUZZ: Wedbush analyst, and all round gaming mystic, Michael Pachter, believes that more details about Grand Theft Auto V will be revealed before this years E3.

“They’ve outgrown the show,” he said in the latest edition of Pach-Attack. “I think they’re way too cool to go.”

“My read on those guys is they like stealing the thunder from everything else. So if I had to bet, I’d say you’d get an announcement on GTA 5 the day before E3 starts, that’d be Monday, June 4,” he added.

Pachter also mentioned that Rockstar will release the game October 23 to go up against Bioshock Infinite. He believes that they simply don’t “care about the 2K game.”

EGM’s TAKE: These are of course just predictions based on analysis, so they shouldn’t be taken as gospel. There is some chance that Rockstar will try and steal some fire before E3, and let’s face it as soon as they give us more solid GTA information the Internet will be buzzing for days. We don’t feel that Rockstar is evil enough to pinpoint a major release that they apparently don’t care about just to crush it. They will simply pick whichever window is best for them.
