Michael Pachter’s recent list of audacious 2019 predictions include two triple-A experiences going free to play.

In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter listed out a selection of sequels and other projects he expects to launch this year and beyond. In this list, Pachter included two already-released experiences he predicts will go free to play before the year is out, namely Overwatch and the Blackout battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

It is important to remember that these are simply predictions, so while Pachter assuredly has some basis for them, they shouldn’t be taken as confirmation. Blackout eventually going free to play would be believable, considering its developer already released a cheaper version of the game without Zombies, but Overwatch going FTP is a little harder to buy. We’ll have to wait and see how this year’s Overwatch League goes over.

These are not the only bold predictions Pachter made in the interview. He also expects a new Splinter Cell to launch this year, along with The Elder Scrolls VI.
