THE BUZZ: News has been coming out about the games that did gangbusters during the big Black Friday shopping period, and the latest title to see stellar sales is one that wants you to shake your booty.

While the hit Kinect franchise Dance Central often gets a lot of the attention, don’t forget Ubisoft and their massive Just Dance series. For the week of Black Friday, Just Dance 3 sold 700,000 units when combining sales for both the Xbox 360 and Wii versions of the game. (The PS3 version of Just Dance 3 will be released in late December.)

For the Wii release, that puts is up 48% over where sales of Just Dance 2 were at at the same point last year.

“Last week was an excellent start to the holiday shopping season for Ubisoft’s dance games,” said Ubisoft’s senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key. “The popularity of Ubisoft’s dance games continues to gain momentum as these games appeal to a wide variety of consumers because they are fun to play alone or with friends and family.”
