Anthem will have dialogue options in the story campaign, but this won’t manifest as a full-fledged dialogue wheel like one might expect from a Bioware game.
In a recent post on Twitter, executive producer Mark Darrah revealed that Anthem would not support the developer’s trademark dialogue wheel, after affirming that romance options are also out in the rain. That said, some dialogue choices will apparently still be present.
No romances in Anthem (we are focussing on different character interactions)

Romance options were already confirmed to be absent from the game, following Game Informer‘s E3-adjacent coverage, but perhaps some fans didn’t want to acknowledge it. The developer also touched on the game’s branching conversation options during the show, hinting then that it would not be as extensive as those found in Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Said coverage was just full of disappointment, being the same in which fans learned that Anthem would not feature competitive PvP options (at least at launch—fingers crossed).
Anthem is slated to launch February 22nd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with EA/Origin Access members enjoying the game one week early. A previous tweet by Darrah offered some preliminary insight into the game’s leveling system, confirming that Anthem will support a hard level cap that will increase over time.
