Anthem has reached the alpha stage of development, as developer BioWare recently announced.
Anthem‘s alpha stage was announced on BioWare’s website in something of a love letter to the developer from general manager Casey Hudson. After reminiscing about his time at BioWare, Hudson revealed that Anthem is now in a state where every part of the game is implemented and functioning.
The next step in the game’s development will involve bug-fixing, testing, and tuning to turn the playable experience into a smooth one. Though Anthem originally announced plans for a public beta, BioWar later reclassified the early access playtest as a “VIP” demo. That’s slated to arrive in early February, and it looks like BioWare is on well track for to make that window.
Anthem is slated to launch February 22nd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with EA/Origin Access members getting to jump into the game one week early.
