Anthem is BioWare’s first real dive into the world of live-service gaming, and it’s looking like it’s already got some quality content coming down the pipeline.
After debuting its most recent video from Anthem‘s gameplay series showing off what we can expect from the action-RPG’s endgame, BioWare has revealed its first roadmap for the game’s post-launch content plans.
New content will be added through Anthem‘s live service updates. The first “act” of post-launch content, called “Echoes of Reality,” will launch in March, a few weeks after the game does. The roadmap calendar so far only shows three acts, with the latter two yet to be revealed.
Echoes of Reality will feature three updates—”Evolving World,” “Stronger Together,” and “The Cataclysm”—that will add new events, rewards, strongholds, story missions, and the ability to form guilds, as well as a major Cataclysm for players to contend with. BioWare hasn’t stated how long this first act will last or when the second act launches, but it’s clear that the developer plans on continuously adding new content for players to explore.
EA has pretty high hopes for Anthem. During a recent earnings call, the published revealed that it expects BioWare’s game to sell 6 million copies. Hopefully, these post-launch plans will help BioWare meet EA’s expectations.
Anthem launches on February 22nd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
