Anthem

BioWare has released a massive update for Anthem that includes new features, performance improvements, balance changes, and more.

Following the update, players will be able to tackle Legendary Missions, which are critical path missions with the difficulty increased. One Legendary Mission will be available per day that has no limit on the number of times it can be completed.

In addition to Legendary Missions, update 1.04 introduces Elysian Caches, which contain 67 unique vanity unlocks, including vinyls, victory poses, emotes and arrivals. Elysian Caches appear at the end of each Stronghold after the boss is defeated and can only be opened using Elysian Keys, which are acquired via completing daily challenges. Players “will never get a duplicate vanity item,” according to BioWare.

This update also contains a couple of nice quality-of-life changes for the Forge that remove the loading screen and make it accessible via the main menu in Fort Taris and the Launch Bay.

Another area getting some love in this update is loot. From now on, Stronghold bosses on GM1 and higher will drop more loot with a chance at additional masterwork and legendary items, and Apex Creatures and chests have a chance to drop additional items and crafting materials.

Other changes include support for Nvidia Highlights, the addition of a Field of View slider on PC, a reduction in the AFK auto-kick timer, and performance improvements. Read the full patch notes here.

Anthem is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
