Anthem

BioWare has pushed a new update live for Anthem that introduces the Sunken Cell Stronghold, quality of life improvements, and a number of balance changes.

Following the update, players will be able to select contracts from the expedition screen, instead of having to go to a contract board, and will be able to select another mission from the end of expedition screen without having to return to Fort Taris or the Launch Bay. Another nice, and really needed quality of life change is the ability to access the Forge during Missions, Strongholds, and Freeplay, allowing players to change gear without having to back to Fort Taris or the Launch Bay.

Today’s update also adds new Universal Masterwork Components, including an Extended Sniper Magazine, which increases magazine size and damage of sniper rifles, and Rapid Hollow Points, which increase the damage of machine pistols and autocannons. There’s also a new Extended Special Arms Magazine that increase damage and magazine size of heavy pistols and grenade launchers.

Other changes include Masterwork weapons and gear buffs, numerous bug fixes, and additional cortex entries to explain combo, detonator, and primer abilities. Read the full patch notes here.

Anthem is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
