EA recently detailed the comedically convoluted release schedule for Anthem, but the game’s director would bring us back to the old ways of game launches if he could.
After the game’s grid-like release chart was posted to Twitter, the publisher suffered some ridicule from the community about how unnecessarily complicated the game’s launch has become. This frustration lead one fan to tweet at the game’s developers directly, asking why, in the vortex of different releases for the game, PS4 was left out of any early access. Game director Jonathan Warner responded to the inquiry, reiterating that the cooperation between EA Access and the PlayStation 4 is out of BioWare’s hands, and that he wishes all players would start playing on the same day.
A lot of newer followers so it is worth repeating. EA Access for PS4 is completely out of our hands and is a negotiation between EA and Sony. If it were up to me we would ALL play on the same day. https://t.co/G2ZoUtzv8P

Granted, Xbox One and PC players with EA Access or Origin Access only get to try the game out early for 10 hours. Those that want to play the full game on the early release date of February 15th have to subscribe to Origin Access Premier on PC. For the rest of us without any Access subscriptions, Anthem launches on February 22nd.
Anthem‘s open beta is now live for all players and will run until Sunday, February 3rd.
