Anthem fans whose friends aren’t suiting up with them at launch will still have people to raid with, thanks to the game’s built-in matchmaking.
The community has realized the best way to get new info on Anthem is simply by hitting up executive producer Mark Darrah on Twitter, and that’s exactly what Twitter user Dillon Williams did. Williams recently asked if Anthem will have matchmaking for its raids, to which Darrah responded with a simple and definitive “yes.”

Darrah’s previous Twitter reveal pertained to players’ freedom in trading the loot they’ve earned, which would be helpful in boosting a low-level friend or min-maxing a character. Unfortunately, loot trading will not be available in Anthem, partly due to the fact that most loot drops are calculated by the level and equipped gear of the player who earned it.
Anthem is slated to launch February 22nd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with EA/Origin Access members getting access to the game one week early. There seems to be little risk of missing this launch date, considering the game recently entered its alpha build.
