The first major piece of DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins lands tomorrow, and will challenge players by having them try to guide a young Bruce Wayne through an integral part of his pre-Batman years.
Set against the Paektu-San Mountains of North Korea, the Initiation Challenge Map DLC sees Bruce, who has convinced Kirigi, master of the lethal vibrating palm technique, to take him in as a student as he looks to obtain the last bit of training he needs to become one with the shadows. The DLC features its own challenge campaign with four new maps and two original skins for players to use. For a better idea of what is in store for young Bruce Wayne, you can check out the embedded trailer below.
Kirigi first appeared in Batman #431 back in March of 1989 and has traditionally been little more than a footnote in Batman’s backstory. He is said, however, to have loose ties to the League of Assassins, the underhanded organization of cutthroats led by Batman’s near-immortal enemy Ra’s al Ghul.
Available for $6.99 on Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, and the Nintendo eShop, players who have the Batman: Arkham Origins season pass need only connect to the Internet to download the content.
