THE BUZZ: From Software has announced plans to release a demo of Armored Core V for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The demo will go live January 19, on Xbox Live and PSN, however the demo will only be available until January 23. It features both offline and online play, but the online servers will not become active until January 21. Offline modes will allow you to play the tutorials and campaign missions, while the online offers team area battles.

EGM’s TAKE: Armored Core has a large Western following so many fans are eagerly anticipating a return of the franchise. Having experienced the game we found it fun playing as a team. The new fifth player commander role offers something other multiplayer games lack, however if you’re new to the franchise the whole experience can be a little overwhelming and complex, creating a barrier of entry for new players.
