The latest trailer for 3DS RPG Mario & Luigi: Dream Team offers a sizable look at the title’s various gameplay features.

Apart from the standard Mario platforming, Dream Team revolves turn-based RPG combat and assorted minigames during Luigi’s dream sequences. And if it’s not apparent, the game revolves around (a) dreams and (b) Luigi. Remember that scene in The Matrix Reloaded when hundreds of Smiths gang up on Neo? There are moments in Dream Team, it seems, reminiscent of that—just with 100% more Luigi.

Naturally, the 3DS touchscreen will factor heavily into Dream Team—namely through a gameplay mechanic that sees players torturing Luigi while he sleeps by poking and prodding him to influence the dream world.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team launches on 3DS August 11 in North America, July 12 in Europe.
