Ubisoft has confirmed who will be penning the screenplay for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed film, and it’s not exactly a big name.

The screenplay will be written by Michael Lesslie who has no feature films to his name, but has penned the scripts for short films such as Skirt and Heavy Metal Drummer–yeah, I’ve never heard of them either.

The film, which is a collaboration between New Regency and Ubisoft Motion Pictures, will star Michael Fassbender in the lead role. Little else is known about the film at the moment.
