During their earnings announcements today, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that Assassin’s Creed III has already sold a lot of copies. A lot.

3.5 million copies, in fact. Even better, those are copies sold to customers—not copies shipped to stores that may be collecting dust on store shelves. Guillemot said that that sales numbers represents a “year-on-year increase of more than 100%” over sales of Assassin’s Creed Revelations during the same period last year.
