Assassin’s Creed III – Three Years of Development by Eight Studios
Posted on March 27, 2012 AT 07:43am
THE BUZZ: Assassin’s Creed III has been in development for more than three years, since Assassin’s Creed II was released, and has eight studios working on it, according to Ubisoft.
Tommy Francois, Assassin’s Creed IP development director, exlained to IncGamers: ”We’ve had over three years of development and we’ve still get a few months to go. This is a Ubisoft Montreal production, but the game is being made by eight different studios across the world to support it.”
“This game is much bigger than any Assassin’s game before, so we need to make sure we had enough ‘power’ behind it.”
EGM’s TAKE: Assassin’s Creed III is the biggest game in the franchise’s history and may prove to be the best one of them all. A lot of new features are being added to the final chapter in the trilogy, which may cause many core fans some concern. Ubisoft’s aim is to bring even more fans into the series with the newest title, but has it bitten off more than it can chew? We’ll find out come October.
