Ubisoft has confirmed that both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be launch titles on their respective platforms.

“We are a launch title for those platforms,” game director Ashraf Ismail revealed in an interview with ElderGeek. “Honestly, we want to push the game as fast out the door because we want people to pick it up and play with it. We’re very proud of this game.”

Ismail also announced that the PC version of the game will release “a few weeks after” the current-gen console versions. “We’re working hard on the PC version,” he said. “It’s one of the main platforms we work on in the office. To be honest, I’m just the creative guy. I might even be wrong about that date, it might actually be sooner…

“For our PC fans, don’t worry. The game on PC looks phenomenal,” he concluded.
