Ubisoft has revealed that players can rate each mission in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The feature was added by Ubisoft Montreal to allow the developers to gather feedback to improve missions in future titles.

“The idea behind this feature is to be able to get the input of our players on their appreciation of each mission,” Assassin’s Creed IV associate producer Sylvain Trottier told Eurogamer. “The rating is anonymous and is sent to our servers to be analyzed.

“It’s an idea that came out of discussions between our creative director Jean Guesdon and our executive producer Sébastien Puel. It was implemented early in the production, more than one year ago. It’s also being used during our playtest sessions to gather the player’s feedback.”

According to Eurogamer, the feature is completely optional and is delivered via a small five star rating bar that appears at the bottom of the memory sync statistics screen–simply click on it to send your rating.
