Assassin’s Creed IV iOS, Android Companion App Helps with Navigation, Management

Posted on November 12, 2013 AT 01:32pm

Ubisoft has released a new video that details their Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag companion app for iOS and Android devices.

The app allows players to set waypoints on the map that instantly appear in-game, spot enemy vessels from greater distance, and helps track ship upgrades and manage Edward’s pirate fleet. In the video (embedded below), game director Ashraf Ismail shows the app in action and provides greater detail.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. The PlayStation 4 version will launch later this week, alongside the PS4 itself on November 15 (November 29 in Europe). The PC version launches next week, November 19, while the Xbox One version hits November 22. For more on AC IV, check out Ray’s review of the PS4 version.

The companion app is available for download now.
