THE BUZZ: The upcoming DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations known as The Lost Archive has finally been detailed.

The DLC will deal with the life of the mysterious assassin Subject 16, otherwise known as Clay Kaczmarek, who entered the animus before Desmond. Gameplay will take the form of puzzle platforming similar to the Desmond sections in Revelations.

Questions regarding Subject 16′s identity and relationship with other Assassin’s will be answered, and characters past and present are set to make cameo appearances.

Finally The Lost Archive will unlock a number of pre-order bonuses for Revelations including the Turkish Assassin Armour, Altair’s Robe and the Armour of Brutus.

The DLC is set to release next week.

EGM’s TAKE: We finally have some solid details on the new DLC, and it’s better than we could have hoped for. We originally thought it was DLC centered around Desmond which wasn’t very exciting. However, now we know that it features Subject 16, the most mysterious character in the Assassin’s Creed universe, our interest is peaked. Just who was this man and who were his ancestors? Maybe we’ve already encountered them in previous games without even realizing it.
