Atlus Announces PSP Strategy RPG Gungnir For 2012

THE BUZZ: Atlus USA had recently been teasing fans with a new game announcement, and today, that reveal finally came.
The game is Gungnir, a strategy RPG for the PSP crafted by Japanese developer Sting—aka, the group responsible for other Atlus releases like Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare. When it hits on July 12th of next year, the game will be coming in two versions: standard UMD release, and digitally via PSN.
So, for all of you who will be picking up a Vita early next year, you’ll also be able to enjoy it on your shiny new handheld.
EGM’s TAKE: Given the love I have for the PSP, niche Japanese games, and niche Japanese games on the PSP, I’m glad to see Atlus still supporting the platform and its titles. There are yet many a worthwhile PSP title sitting in Japan un-translated, so the more that get announced for English release, the happier I am.
