Reader beware: the in-game appearance of Avenged Sevenfold may be considered a spoiler to some. The video is, apparently, from the end of the game, and features a performance of their new single, “Carry On.”
Personally, I don’t think this is a big deal. Not because I find Avenged Sevenfold to be a laughably terrible example of metalcore, but because I don’t see how this really ties into Black Ops II’s single-player narrative. Granted, I haven’t played Black Ops II and doubt I ever will. Straightforward military shooters just aren’t my jam.
Again, I warn y’all—fans of Call of Duty might consider this easter egg to be a spoiler.
