A new release date has been given for the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, and for once that isn’t a bad thing.
Today, creative director Trent Oster tweeted, “We are targeting November 28 for all platforms. Since we have approvals, etc, we can’t 100% control the date on iOS, Mac and Android.
For anyone unfamiliar, Baldur’s Gate was the second game from developer Bioware, and its first RPG. Taking place in the Forgotten Realms universe and using the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition rules, the game set a new standard for PC RPGs when it released in 1998.
Baldur’s Gate and its sequel, Baldur’s Gate 2, went on to become some of the most successful PC games of all time.
In addition to the versions on iOS, Mac, and Android, the game will be available on PC. Whichever system you choose, and as long as the original gameplay remains intact, it should be a great ride for the low, low price of $19.95.
