The prayers of all the Rare fans around the world have been answered: Banjo-Kazooie are joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster later this year as DLC fighters.

The reveal came in a fairly trolly trailer during the Nintendo Direct, showing the pair’s silhouette before revealing, in a momentary fake out, that it was actually the Duck Hunt dog and duck who are already in the game.

True to their appearance in their original games, Banjo and Kazooie will function as a single unit, with Kazooie hanging out in Banjo’s backpack.

We also saw a stage based on Spiral Mountain, the iconic level that’s appeared multiple times throughout the series, often serving as a hub world of sorts.
