Former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders has landed the Madden NFL 25 cover vote, Electronic arts announced (as well as releasing the game’s first trailer).
Sanders won over Minnesota Vikings halfback Adrian Peterson with 58% of some-odd 700,000 votes in the final round of the ESPN online voting campaign.
“Barry Sanders has long been a fan favorite, so we’re proud to have him as the face of Madden NFL 25,” said Anthony Stevenson, senior director of marketing for EA Sports.
Madden NFL 25 rushes on to PS3 and Xbox 360 August 27.
